GM Hikaru Nakamura (2909) was in a head-to-head fight with the five-time world champion Magnus Carlsen till round seventeen of the World Open Blitz Championship 2022 for the gold medal. But the world champion made his way to the top with a half-point lead in the twentieth round. So, in the last round, winning was the only option for the reigning World Fischer Random Chess Champion Nakamura but he was facing the super solid GM Pentala Harikrishna (2617). At 8:04 Pentala could have taken the knight for a quicker draw…
Hari should lose…only have 1 rockHikaru has rock n knightRight?
Harikrishna? more like Hari-up Nakamura!!
This digital board is perfect, with bar
Hikaro👀 Magnus win 5:50
Too many games with Hikaru. There are many interesting chess players at world blitz
Are they not allowed to agree to a draw? What is this lol.
Boredom in its peak!! 🥶
So draw?
Gm vs Gm, hikaru try dirty trick. WAS.
Why doesnt Hikaru take the pawn on at 8:52 ?? Can someone explain
So where that guy who was dissapointed about Nepo didn't set the pieces back?
I think harikaru won this match
Making moves on the opponent's clock at 5:14 and 5:41. Very typical of him, dirty tricks and does it way too often in games.
shame he used up his fighting spirit here rather than saving it for earlier against Rapport
Is that the same arbiter from
'The most weird chess incident that you will ever come across'
?
He didn't arrange white pieces….aaaaaaaaah i see😏
Hi stop the clock and say plaese Resume Tomorow🤣
Hari GOAT!
At 5:22 I was confused why Hikaru didn't play Qxc5 (my interest in Chess was sparked just a couple of months ago thanks to The Queen's Gambit).
It took me a couple of seconds until I realized that Pentala then would have M2 with Qh5+, forcing whites King on g1, and then Ne2#.
Hikaru obviously saw this and played g4.
Amazing.
Bruh, they overshot the 50 move rule by a lot i think 😂😂
They turned a 6 minute game into a 16 minute fight to the death
Hikaru and Hans both did not put back the pieces after they finished playing their games.
Hari really turned from winning to saving the game
10:06 is when Magnus became Blitz Champion lol
Hikaru crying after his pre arranged draws he's not champ is always funny
5:32 What was the correct move for black in order to keep advantage?
pawn : ok dont mind me
How is Hikaru 2909?
If the game was not stopped by that old man, it would have lasted a week
50moves rules made them agree
Wtf
Wasn't there a rule where you would draw after a certain number of moves?
Hitala Nakakrishna vs Penkaru Harimura
Jaja la cara de Nakamura..
Frustrado por no poder dar mate con ese caballo y torre 😅
Hikaru has a very likable face.
same
10:06…sjajsjasjas
Thank you for bringing the chess game to the screen!
¿Qué esperaba Hari?
Hikaru didn't place pieces back in position.. high level of frustration lol😅
