  1. TOTAL CLASS ACT INTERVIEW BY MAGNUS AT THE END. BRAVO!!!!!!

  2. Brilliant match and brilliant commentating. I always feel like Hikaru doesn’t play to his full potential vs Magnus but he seems to be gradually changing that now.

  3. as a magnus fan i'm happy with how this went as he came back from 6.5-2.5 and only lost by a small margin, and it will also make him hungry for revenge

  4. Hans Niemann fans before the match: if Magnus loses he will say Hikaru is a cheater.

Magnus after losing: this was a great match, Hikaru is a beast he played incredible chess! Also his time wasting strategy was fair and square.

  5. People from East is more expressive.!
I like Hikaru's emotions and expressions!

  6. SCC final match is a confusing one for those who know the legacy of both players. Carlsen is a legend in classical chess, long time control games and Hikaru is supposed to be the best in speed chess (bullet). But here, Hikaru overwhelmed Carlsen in 5+1 and Magnus overwhelmed Hikaru in 3+1 and in Bullet 1+1 !!! … confusing confusion

  7. They picked the wrong date for this match. I had to watch Messi win the world cup

  8. MAGNUS CARLSEN DONT GOT TO BE THE GOAT NO MORE HE NOT EVEN DEFENDING HIS CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR HE ALREADY DID ENOUGH TO BE THE BEST PLAYER HE DONT GOT NUN TO PROVE NUN NO MORE

  9. Great job by the commentators! I think this is the first time I was roughly able to actually follow what's going on in such a game. Making such complicated games look intuitive to beginners/average chess players is really an impressive achievement. Without commentary I would get lost after a few moves. Their passion and authentic interest in the game makes it really entertaining to watch as well. Thank you a lot for this!

  10. The runner up is usually not scheduled for an interview, the fact that Magnus specially asked for one and wanted to share his thoughts speaks volumes to how much he enjoyed the match.

Magnus gave up his world title because he was worn out by the whole process year after year and stopped enjoying it, almost seems like this encounter rekindled his love for chess lol. Super nice to see. Never have I ever seen Magnus so “happy” after a defeat, or ever for that matter, and so so complimentary of anyone. Their mutual respect for each other is wonderful to see, and an example for every chess fan.

What a time to be alive as a chess fan!

  11. Epic match and epic commentary by both Naroditsky and Hess, they really add to my understanding and enjoyment!

  12. I dont need to see the whole thing. Alredy in the first games u can see how Magnus is not playing his A game. Like he did against Maxime.

  13. I can tell that people wouldn't like the stalling but personally i think it's genius, and it means that hikaru recognize that he needs to take every single advantage he can and ultimately that 2-3 seconds bear fruits. Such such a great match! I wouldn't start to imagine that watching chess could be so blood pumping before amd that i think we can credit to the commentators, such an amazing event!

  14. 30:29 made me so happy to see the bishop sac to win the own when my fav player didn't… I'm a level 800 btw

  15. The match was worth it for the long Carlsen interview alone!

  16. Why was Hikaru looking up to the right in crucial moments there where he won?

  17. Hikaru won the chess part and magnus won the interview part

  18. I think it's amazing that Mangus shared his thought and did that kind of an extensive interview.

  19. Kinda ironic that Hikaru spent half of the "Speed Chess Championship" by not making any move and letting the time run like some 1000 rated dudes I play.

  20. you can feel the difference in the commentating team's synergy with Naroditsky and Hess. this is not a knock on someone like Rensch, but you can tell that Naroditsky having someone at a higher level really helps amp up the impact of each move to the audience. great work.

  21. It's funny that the "I literally don't care" meme has been so important to all Hikaru's recent success. He obviously did care back then, but now he doesn't and it has set him free

  22. Magnus has a buttplug that tells him which moves to take

  23. All came down to magnus's one move bishop blunder

  24. Yeah Hikaru bled the clock out but it’s not his fault Magnus made such uncharacteristic blunders. He did what he had to do for the win. Can’t wait for the rematch , Magnus still the goat in my casual opinion but Hikaru saw everything that game

  25. Hikaru in 2022 just peaked his chess career

  26. Awesome show and awesome interview by Magnus

  27. Doesn't Magnus' room look different from interview at the end?

  28. Unbelievable final, great casters, two champions going crazy.
