It’s a Grunfeld Defense in this one, with white opting for 5.Qb3, the Russian variation. If there’s a focal point in the Grunfeld opening, it is the d4 square. How focused would both players be on this square, and would it be a wise choice to give the opponent the true bishop pair (2 knights vs 2 bishops) in order to grab a central pawn? This was a 3|0 time control game, where I was playing with the white pieces.
