  6. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Stay warm!

  7. 16:42 John described this as "Nimzo-Indian style", but to me it looks more like a Dzindzi-Indian, where the counter-intuitive …Bxc3 is the signature move.

  8. Merry Christmas, John! Thanks for so many fun and interesting videos the whole year long, we are all grateful for you!!

  15. Does anyone else find ARTYSK potentially suspect? Despite being hundreds of points lower-rated, he crushed John (including a queen sac after just a few seconds' thought – 49:53), and he did it all while maintaining a big clock advantage. Very high-level play for a 2350.

  16. The first game you played aganist a 15yr old fm in my country

  17. 5:11 is e4 winning the Bishop here? fxe4, dxe4, Ke5, Bd6xg3? Or is there some way out that I'm not seeing?

  28. Happy Holidays JB…why resign that first game?

  29. At 10:36 was Rg6+/Rg1+/Nxf3+/Nxe2 a strong combo? Not that many things aren't but it's more fun than most. 😀

  30. You have a great attitude especially when it comes to moving on/accepting losses. Thanks for your always pleasurable content!

  31. Great video but on 25:01 why did John play knight to g3 instead of trading knights and threatening checkmate?
